Here is a brief walk around and comparison of the Aprilia SR50 two stroke scooter. Apparently, Aprilia is navigating the 4 stroke stroke market and with the phasing out of the 2 stroke engine in the UNited States they appear to be positioned to introduce (which they already have) their new 4 stroke SR 50 “MOTARD”

I also got an sr50r, and I love it! Mine goes about 90km/h with just 2 small modifications… These things were build for the speed, they roll out the factory with 90km/h… I just love Aprilia.
why would anyone buy the Sr50 with injection?
How much do you reckon modifying the ECU would cost? I live in the U.K. and drive around about 12 miles to college and back and need a moped that’s fast enough to go onto a busy road instead doing 30 mph and getting hit by a car or a truck.
These do not have inverted forks. They do have high end components such as the direct fuel injection with onboard compressor; computerized dashboard with integrated transistor ignition(anti theft); 13″ alloy wheels front and rear; liquid cooled engine; dual disc brakes.
They also get 90mpg when in proper running condition.
There is also a known issue with the fuel pump. Search YouTube for High Gain Tuning fuel pump mod.
Speeds quoted in the video are too high.
Lol top speed doesn’t matter, at most you’ll get like 15hp, and torque is low. These are just hipster toys, who spends $3k on something you can’t really use on the streets…
love my sr50r… but i just cant afford any more fuel pump failures… on my 2nd one at 3000km.
I’m getting one at the end of the month!
First the Intro is Wrong the Aprilia is 8 horsepower Gilera and Piaggio are 7 hp Gareli is 6.5hp cpi italjet etc.. 5.2-3 hp other Bulshit Hamachi and Chineese scooters are 4.8 🙂 trust me i work in a scooter Company Italian scooters are best and we dynamo test every scooter 😀
