Having had the bike for 4 months, I have re-reviewed it, giving a number of pros and cons for this excellent little scooter.

Only another 500 or so before it’s run-in properly, lol. Just take it easy for those first miles to keep the engine good
Good idea Leon. But I wasn’t happy with the low quality and concerned that the disc may fall out while riding so I bought and fit a new tax disc holder. Now I don’t need to worry.
Brill, moving on up. New or second-hand?
nice video I have the 50 ,impresive speed with yours
i really want to buy one. do you know if there’s any changes in the 2015 model, compared to the 2013? im a little concerned with the seat, i got a Derbi atlantis and it makes my bottom a little sore and numb after a while. just like you describe with the fly 125
just got my new bike, keep an eye out for a white yamaha wr125x 😉
but tbh im not the person to go ‘right 100 miles, lets rag it from here’ ahaha, i take it steady anyway so should be good
I get about 100mpg on my 2013 Fly 125 3v, Piaggio quote 144mpg? I can get 65mph, under good conditions 68-70mph, I’m 15st. 1st 1000km service was £80 after haggling. Major service intervals are every 10,000km. Fits my open face helmet+jacket but will not fit my full face helmet 🙁 It’s a pain having to unlock the steering first to straighten the bars, then remove the key to open the seat, otherwise the seat will not self stay up. Overall the Fly 125 3v is an excellent scooter.
Hmmm. You may want to take some further advice on that. I’m no expert, but that seems to be very low mileage to claim it is run in well
indeed, new, done 36 miles so far!
The storage not taking my full face helmet is a pain, I agree, but I don’t like the full-face anyway. Just feel much too heavy and I have limited peripheral vision with it so I use the open face as much as possible. Makes me feel more Mediterranean too.
thumbs up.
Also when i wash my scooter i tie a small bag around tax disc which keeps it dry
just put a vid up of the new machine 🙂
Fantastic review, really comprehensive and a real help for someone looking to find out the rider experience of the Fly.
I cut off 2-3mm from the centre stand rubber stop and stopped most of the scraping. Do not cut off too much as when up, you need to miss the rear brake fluid pipe.
1:28 you’re a fucking moron! XD
Just laminate yr tax disc problem solved
dealer said below 45 for first 100 miles then it should be fine
