Piaggio X10 500 Scooter Test Ride GoPro Hero 3+

I have now created a new channel dedicated to bikes so please subscribe: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCljz5n-ZFvsDNiAer09IQLA

This is a brief review or just my thoughts on the Piaggio X10 500cc Maxi Scooter. I wanted to compare this to my Honda CB500X in terms of power and comfort. I know I shouldn’t make direct comparison as this is a scooter and mine is a motorcycle however we shouldn’t underestimate a maxi scooter for their commuting credential. The X10 Executive ABS is the biggest scooter I have ever ridden and it certainly was the most comfortable. I had experience on 50cc and 100cc scooters when I was a teenager but back then even the 100cc felt fast. A BMW C650 may be a better scooter but it’s nearly twice the price of the Piaggio X10. Other alternatives include the Yamaha T-Max, Suzuki Bergman as well as Honda Silverwing. After this ride I felt I wanted to stay with the bike I have got. Perhaps I can afford one of these as a second or third bike one day.

Hello handy radio. I’d like to ask a question: What is the speed that the rev limiter gets activated while riding full throttle on the highway? Can you obtain this information, for example from its owner? (500cc) Thanks…

Don’t forget about honda sh300i, the best all round motorbikescooter i’ve ever tested. Scooters are the best around city and as a utility vehicle. Motorbikes are for passion and fun even though you can have a lot of fun even in a small scooter!

Very interesting, H! Lovely scenery along the Thames. And for a 500 single it makes decent power.
Now I feel duty bound to make a vid of my bike, a Yamaha SR500 single. But I think I’ll wait for the weather to improve and the snow to melt 🙂  Maybe April/May!
I presume you tested this before going for your current bike?
All the best, Rob
